WASHINGTON SCHOOL HOUSE HOTEL WEDDING PICTURES
Kari and Kevin live in Los Angeles but decided that Park City would be a perfect place to elope. They also thought that New Year's Eve would be the perfect day.
One year before they had been the very first customers at the newly opened Washington School House Hotel. They decided to return to the hotel to tie the knot. They had told a few of their friends about their plans to elope and those friends insisted they fly out last minute to witness the nuptials.
The day began with Kari and Kevin getting ready together. The gorgeous light pouring in the hotel lends itself to beautiful photographs so we spent some time taking photos in their gorgeous suite. Colors were kept neutral...Kari in a cream Rag & Bone wool dress and dove gray Manolo Blahnik shoes, and Kevin a gray wool J.Crew suit and Timberland leather boots. Simple gold jewelry and wedding bands finished off their looks.
Everyone gathered in the hotels lobby in front of the stone fireplace for Kari and Kevin's ceremony. It was one of the most intimate and lovely celebrations that I have been a part of. Champagne was poured and sipped and toasts were given. It was a frigid 17 degree day but everyone stepped outside to the pool deck for more bubbly and celebrating. I loved the way the steam coming off the pools surface brought a softness to the photos. Kari and Kevin braved the cold for a few more photographs around the snowy grounds of the hotel. They shared sweet cupcakes made by the hotel's pastry chef and then everyone headed to a private dinner at a restaurant on Main Street.
